During the second half of the season, UC SPOTLIGHT will mainly be conversations between our cast members. Today, Amber plays interviewer to Savannah...

Amber: Was it discouraging at times when people at your college or on your swim team found out about your strong faith in God, and did you lose any friends because you wouldn't go to parties and such?
Savannah: You know, I think about this a lot. Yeah it really is. Its a scary
thing sometimes. But I represent God and thats it. That's who I am, I am made in the image and likeness of christ. I had to give up alot. But to be
honest, I wanted God more than anything and everything i gave up was so worth it. Its almost a test to see who your true friends are. But ya know they have all seen the change in my life and thats awesome.

Amber: Who is the one person you get the most encouragment from and why?
Savannah:My boyfriend is probably my biggest cheerleader. He sees me as God sees me. Not as a failure and weak. He sees potential and loves to watch me grow and obtain more wisdom. He always believes in me. And i have amazing women in my life...that's so important. i e. Amber!
Amber:  what did you think about the bike ride up the mountain?

Savannah: WOW. Holy Cow. That was so hard. I mean geeez I could not breathe.
I've gone on bike rides here in florida and never did it feel like that. I
felt weak. lol And going back down was super scary. Court and Shaun talked about not falling over the cliff so much that it freaked me out. I was like a grandma goin down.

Amber:  where there anytimes in your life where you felt like you were
fighting to get up a mountain and felt the joy that came once you reached the top?
Sanannah:O yah.. ALmost everyday. haha Swimming is a great example. As I round out my last year i look at all the times i wanted to quit and give up really BAD. Its tough but im hanging in there and i see the light at the end of the tunnel. IT will be so sweet.
 
Amber:  what did you think when Jessica went to the hospital?
Savannah: It was scary, I felt like I needed to go too. lol really it was super hard to breathe out there. I was really worried, IT puts things in
perspective, the competition wasnt important anymore.

Amber:  what are some of the things that the Lord is doing in your life
right now?
Savannah: Always growing! Teaching me how to be an amazing wife! Its tough but its so amazing. Not just listening to the word of God but doing it. I want to be a servant, a follower. God is just building my faith day after day by placing amazing girls in my life to build relationships with. Being a true minister and leader. God is showing me how to Love people on a deeper level without  an angenda. Meeting people where they are at. Walking in the sprirt of love and humility. I could go on forever...hahah

Amber: What is your favorite candy?.
Savannah: mmmm.... I love sweet tarts...the chewy kind. I actually had a dream about them. I love candy.

Amber: Do you prefer pizza or rocky mountain osters?
Savannah: haha maybe pizza with the rocky mountains on top...mmmm
